shootshop awesomeness

I had the amazing pleasure of attending a shootshop this week with the magical team of nate and jaclyn kaiser of the image is found.  I have been religiously stalking….errr I mean, following their blog for some time now.  When they announced their most recent shootshop date I just KNEW I HAD to go and let me tell you I am so happy that I did.  Nate is wonderfully candid, hilarious and just an overall genuine guy, and his dear wife Jaclyn is equally as wonderful, genuine and honestly just one of those people that is such a pleasure to be around.  Aside from their overall awesomeness, they really gave so much of themselves to all of us and really helped me ‘see the light’ on so many levels.  The information I left with is invaluable.  For any of you out there considering this workshop…its a MUST!  You would be a fool to miss it.  And, not only will you gain some amazing knowledge and inspiration from these two but you will learn a whole new slew of adjectives I like to call ‘nate-isms’.

Anyways…here are a few snaps I captured in between all the nate-isms, sound effects, and overall awesomeness that is the image is found.

Just before we got down to biz and actually got to watch nate shoot, he was sure to steal some shots of his beautiful wife jaclyn. Seen here in the front is the amazing nate + jaclyn, and behind them from left to right is Robert, Whitney, Sabine, Shari, Jonilyn and the beautiful models, Rachel and Andy  icon smile shootshop awesomeness

this was one of the MANY funny moments of the day.  As we were watching nate work his magic, this group of skateboarders came up and requested they too be in the pictures.  Nate of course gave them the go ahead…although we think the little guy sitting next to Rachel was a little more interested than just being in the image, as he insisted he needed to ‘sit by the girl’…a little ladies man in the making…LOL.

Introducing Baby "E"

Let me start by saying that most newborns I photograph dont always sleep ever so sweetly throughout their session.  Usually we take several breaks, some to feed, some to cuddle with mom and dad, etc.  But baby ‘E’ was quite the sleeper and ohhh how I loved iticon smile Introducing Baby "E"  She slept amazingly well allowing me to move her and squish her up as much as I wanted and also woke up for a little while to let us get a few shots of her beautiful eyes!

And of course, heres a sneak peek from our session.  Look how precious this little girl is!!

I've been a BAD blogger

The past few weeks I have been a really bad blogger….icon sad I've been a BAD blogger  Although in my defense I have been so very busy!  My mom who normally watches my little one a few days a week for me was out of town for just over a week which threw a loop in my session and editing schedule.  So I basically took an entire week off of shooting and editing while spending some quality time with my daughter.  In addition, I am getting ready for my first bridal fair booth.  And, I am uber excited that I am heading out to San Diego tomorrow to attend a workshop (www.theimageisfound.com) with some FABULOUS photographers that I absolutly LOVE!  I am so excited to spend some time with them and hope to come home wonderfully inspiredicon smile I've been a BAD blogger

I have however had many sessions over the past week and a half and KNOW my clients are patiently awaiting their sneak peeks to make it to the blog.   To be sure to do this right, I will create a few new posts with some sneak peeks for you all.

Thanks everyone for bearing with my bad bad blogging the past few weeks!

xoxo – Charise!
