Spanish Hills Wedding : Matt and Jen

Jennifer and Matt….they are the kind of people you meet and really want to be friends with. They are sweet, kind, funny and tons of fun! There were married last year at Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo. Jennifer’s mom is obviously super talented and crafty as she made all of the awesome burlap decor for the wedding. From the ring bearers pillow (which also included pieces of lace from her wedding dress), the flowers on the flower girls dresses, the table numbers, signs around the wedding. Regardless of all the great details of the wedding, Jennifer and Matts love took center stage! I am so very fortunate to witness so many amazing relationships on one of the happiest days of a couples life together. These two are perfect example of a couple that compliments one another so amazingly well and as soon as you bring them together, they absolutely light up.

Jen and Matt, I adore you two and cannot wait for what the future holds for you. XOXO

I told you they are super fun right?? Well, below is a perfect example! Jen and Matt chose to see one another before their ceremony. So just after the first glance at the hotel we made a quick stop in the hotel room for some super fun bed jumping photos, because apparently this is a normal event in their house, Jen jumps on the bed and Matt is reading magazines about Grilling. Yes, fully dressed, makeup and ready to go…Jen jumped on the bed and had a blast…LOVE!

Hayley and Andy : Engagement Photos

Hayley and Andy…so sweet, so fun, so in love. They are planning a destination wedding in Maui later this year that I know is going to be amazing! While I am super bummed that I was not available to join them in Maui to photograph their wedding, I am super happy that I was at least able to spend the afternoon with them here in Southern California to shoot their engagement photos.

This gorgeous wedding took place at Saddlerock Ranch, a beautiful Wedding Venue nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains on a fabulous Vineyard. Nick and Jen totally rocked it for us…we drove all over the property at Saddlerock Ranch, stopping all over the place to capture more of their awesomeness. Their ceremony took place just before sunset leading into a fabulous celebration surrounded by their friends and family from near and far.

Ahhh, Jamie and Kevin, I absoutely ADORE everything about this couple, not only the two of them as people, the two of them as a couple, the love that they share, but also their amazing families and friends. They were married in the summer of 2011 at the beautiful Fess Parker Double Tree Hotel in Santa Barbara. A wedding day is always such a happy day full of love and emotion, however I must admit, that Jaime and Kevin’s wedding day was full of an over powering amount of love, happiness and emotion…the kind that acted as a reminder (that came at me full force and smacked me in the face) of all the reasons that am so very blessed to do what I love to do….and why I love it as much as I do.

Their first glance was one of the most special, true and honest moments we have been a part of. Kevin’s reaction to seeing his bride was priceless! The emotion surrounding them was overwhelming and beautiful.

And then, the celebration started…the dance floor was PACKED all night long with an amazing group of people that KNOW how to dance!! A big shout out to Mr Kris Buyna of DJ FX Entertainment for keeping this Thursday wedding pumpin with a full dance floor all night!

Hartley Botanica Wedding : Selena and Jason

Selena and Jason were married at Hartley Botanica in 2011. We were blessed with a gorgeous day to celebrate their garden wedding surrounded by their friends and family. The Exotic Green Garden created the beautiful flower arrangements, The Bread Basket designed the yummy wedding cake, the ever fabulous Elegant Event Entertainment kept the dancing and celebrating going, and of course the awesome Wendi Hatfield, the Hartley Botanica Wedding Coordinator made sure everything went off without a hitch (as usual).

Not only are Eric and Megan past wedding clients of mine, they are also our friends. I was BEYOND excited for them when they announced that they were expecting. In fact I pretty much instantly started planning out some ideas for their maternity portraits! I tried to be patient to find out if they were expecting a baby boy or a baby girl, and then of course what they choose for their sweet baby Logan’s bedroom decor. Once all of that information was in my hands…the planning for their shoot began We knew we wanted to do some outdoor maternity portraits and that we wanted to incorporate the vintage airplane theme that was being used for his nursery. Soooo, without further ado.

I am SO excited to launch the new look of Photography By Charise!!! We are still working on what will be the new website but the new blog is here and I LOVE IT! The team over at Braizen designed the new look and I couldn’t be happier…they are a FABULOUS team of professionals that have made this process a total pleasure! Seriously, if you are looking for a designer or considering hiring someone for any type of design needs I HIGHLY recommend them…no really, you need to check them out! We have a few more things in the works but I just couldn’t wait to get this baby up. I would love to know what you think too!
