Hello blogsphere..my, oh, my its been WAY too long! The end of the year is always such a crazy hectic time of year for me. Between photographing 5-6 sessions a week and working as fast as possible to get hundreds of holiday cards created and delivered all while ‘trying’ to squeeze in a little bit of my own personal shopping and family time…talk about a whirlwind. The past two months have been filled with so many awesome sessions and had given me the opportunity to meet some wonderful new clients and friends. So many of my recent sessions haven’t made it to the blog. But I will do my best to sneak them in here and there now that my life behind the camera has returned to its busy but less chaotic schedule as I know it.
As 2008 came to a swift close I celebrated a bit by trying to really take in the amazing journey that the year had brought to me and my business. I am so very grateful for the wonderful year that I was blessed with and for all the inspiring families, couples and people that came into my life and made it such a great year. And of course I am endlessly grateful to my loving husband and my wonderful family for their unconditional love and support though a very full and eventful year.
And of course we are now brought to 2009! I was more than excited to start off the new year with the beautiful and intimate wedding of Kimberly and Paul. I met Kimberly a few months ago but did not get a chance to meet Paul until the week before the wedding as he was still living in Ireland which is where Kimberly and Paul met. They have an amazing connection that brought Paul to move to the States to marry Kimberly, the love of his life. It was so cool to see how Paul just fit right in with all of Kimberly’s friends and family. It was as though he has always been a part of their lives. You can already tell how much Kimberly’s son Val just adores Paul…so awesome!
We started the day off at Kimberly, Paul and Val’s home in Topanga where Vincent Ford of Faces by Vincent Ford was preparing Kimberly for her big day with hair and makeup. Not only does Vincent do beautiful work but he was equally as amazing to work with.
Before we left the house to head over to the Inn of the Seventh Ray, Kimberly wrote a special little note to her soon to be husband.
Paul and his soon to be step son reading the card from Kimberly….so sweet.

The awesome video work of Beth Oslander of Bella Video Productions in full effect.
Because Paul’s friends and family are in Ireland they were unable to make it to the wedding. However, Paul’s best friend in Ireland wrote a special toast that he sent over as a surprise to be read for him.
A special thank you to ‘Enda’ for introducing the newlyweds.
